Today marks your arrival day at Nepal's international airport. Our team will be there to greet you upon your arrival and assist with your transfer to your hotel, which is just a short drive away. Typically, the Green Nomad Team arranges your stay in the Thamel area, the main tourist hub.
Once you arrive at the hotel, you'll usually have plenty of time to explore Thamel, Kathmandu. We highly recommend starting with a taste of traditional Nepali cuisine in Thamel, especially after a long flight when you’re likely to be hungry. If you're unsure what to try, check out our blog post titled “Must-Try Foods of Nepal” for some great suggestions. For example, Momo is a popular dish among tourists in Nepal.
After enjoying your meal, take some time to explore Thamel for any essential gear you might need for the Annapurna Base Camp trek. It's important to double-check your equipment and have conversations with your guide to ensure you're well-prepared.
