and other surrounding peaks.

Following the short route to reach both Machhapuchre Base Camp & Annapurna Base Camp,
it only takes 6 days to complete the trek. Here is an outline itinerary of 10 Days ABC trek:

Exploring Pokhara

Pokhara is the major highlight of the Annapurna trek. This is one of the busiest and most popular tourist hubs. We’ll stay in Pokhara for two nights. We use this time to explore Pokhara in the meanwhile. You’ll fall in love while strolling along the lakeshore at night. You might be able to see the Aarati performance at the lakeside as well. Furthermore, Pokhara has endless nightlife. After returning from the hike, we can also visit bars, restaurants, or coffee shops to cap off the adventure on a good note.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek Itinerary

Airport Arrival and Evening Briefing

 

A Green Nomad representative will greet you at the airport upon your arrival.

Following this, you will be transferred to a deluxe hotel located in Thamel.

In the evening, you will meet with your trekking guide, who will provide a brief overview of your upcoming trek. After the briefing, you are free to explore the vibrant streets of Thamel at your leisure.

Journey to Pokhara

 

Today, you will embark on a scenic drive to Pokhara by tourist bus. The journey offers beautiful views of farm villages and towns, complemented by stunning mountain scenery along the way.

Upon your arrival in Pokhara, you will be transferred to your hotel, conveniently located near the pristine Phewa Lake, where most of the finest accommodations are situated.

Trekking from Siwai to Chhomrong

 

Early in the morning, after breakfast, you will drive to Siwai in a private vehicle. The drive takes approximately three hours, after which your first day of trekking will begin.

The first 42 km from Pokhara to Nayapul is on a well-maintained road, followed by a 16 km stretch of rough road leading to Siwai. Your trek will take you through the scenic Modi River Valley, which is fed by the river originating from Annapurna Base Camp.

For the first four hours of your trek, the trail is easy, featuring a gradual ascent. After crossing a high suspension bridge near Jhinu Danda, you will encounter a steep uphill climb to Chhomrong, which will take about two hours. You will spend the night in Chhomrong.

Today, we will begin our trek by walking downhill to the river. After crossing a short bridge, we’ll ascend to Sinuwa, located at 2,360 m. This is a quiet spot with a few shops and cozy lodges.

From Sinuwa, the trail leads into a beautiful forested area filled with oak, rhododendron, and pine trees. Following a brief steep descent, we will arrive at Bamboo, a small settlement featuring 5-6 lodges. After a short break, we’ll continue with a slow climb for about an hour, which will bring us to Dovan.

Trekking from Dovan to Machhapuchare Base Camp

 

After a restful overnight stay at Dovan, accompanied by the soothing sound of the raging Modi River, we will begin our morning walk, ascending higher through a dense forested area.

Upon reaching Deurali, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch. After our meal, we’ll continue our trek, leaving the tree line behind as we follow the roaring glacial Modi River all the way to Machhapuchare Base Camp, situated at an elevation of 3,700 m. Here, we will stop for the night.

Trekking to Annapurna Base Camp

We will finally head into the famous and picturesque Annapurna Sanctuary, where Annapurna Base Camp is located. After a few hours of pleasant walking, we will arrive at the highest point of our adventure at Annapurna Base Camp.

In the afternoon, we’ll relax and take in the breathtaking views of:

  • Annapurna I (8,091 m)
  • Annapurna South (7,219 m)
  • Gangapurna (7,455 m)
  • Annapurna III (7,555 m)
  • Mt. Machhapuchare (Fish-tail) (6,993 m)

You'll also see the stunning Tent Peak/Tharpu Chuli and the Fluted Peaks or Singu Chuli.

Trekking from Dovan to Jhinu Dada

Today, we will climb uphill to Kuldighar, followed by a downhill walk to Chhomrong Khola, where you will have lunch.

After Chhomrong, we’ll take a short climb to the top ridge and change direction to head towards Pokhara. Our trek continues to Jhinu village, where we will spend the night. This village is situated on a ridge, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscapes.

Additionally, after a short descent of about 25 minutes, we will reach the hot springs by the Modi River, providing a perfect opportunity to relax and rejuvenate.

Today you will trek for four hours to Siwai and drive back to Pokhara by private vehicle & stay overnight in Pokhara.

Departure from Pokhara to Kathmandu

After an incredible experience on the Annapurna Base Camp trek, we will depart from the beautiful city of Pokhara for an exciting overland journey back to Kathmandu.

The scenic ride will take approximately six to seven hours, offering lovely views along the way. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we will transfer you to your hotel.

Alternatively, you can choose to take a 30-minute scenic flight to Kathmandu, which offers breathtaking views of the mountains and landscapes.
